About

Catalyst Road What?
They are two words that come alive only when they are joined together - a phrase that, when spoken, widens the eyes in bubbly anticipation as if you’re that kid in the candy store waiting to open your Willy Wonka Candy Bar. It’s an eruption of excitement and adventure at the sound of these two simple words…ROAD TRIP!!!!!!!That’s right! It’s the 2008 CATALYST ROAD TRIP! We are doing something we’ve never done before, and we’re doing it in typical Catalyst fashion - with style! Well, that’s probably up for debate
Our choice of road trip vehicle is an old 1985 VW Vanagon - What the heck is a Vanagon? Watch the video below to learn more…

What Are We Doing?
Over the next 5 months we are going to be on the road visiting many of you, Catalyst group leaders, and other key influencers in the church. For the last eight years you have been coming to Atlanta to join us for The Catalyst Conference, an experience unlike any other. Now, we want to come to your hometown, hear your story, find out how you are impacting your community for the Lord, and share it all with the rest of the Catalyst community.
So, our bags are packed, we’ve got our cameras and this laptop, and we are going to tell this road trip story…unscripted and full of the wild unknown! We trust the Lord to unfold this adventure in a way that will encourage you, give you a glimpse of what is happening on the front line of the church, and remind you that the heartbeat of our hope is Christ alone. What is He up to around the country? What is He doing within the Catalyst world? We want to know and want to invite you to join us as WE find out…stay tuned for more!
How can you follow us?
We will update our road trip map & timeline on the “Map” tab at the top of the main page. If you see that we are coming to your city, and you would like to be a part or have ANY questions, please email your friendly Vangaon Vagabond, LV Hanson at lv.hanson@catalystspace.com. You can also stay updated on LV’s Facebook page.

LV is the man- when you go through Oklahoma, stop by the First Church of God in Bristow- see Tim.
hey fellas. i met lv this morning on the way out of my neighborhood. i love catalyst and old vans, so imagine my utter glee when i saw an old van with catalyst painted all over it in my very own neighborhood.
anyway, if you guys need any help let me know.
adam
i had the pleasure of meeting lv today and find him to be very tall. the van is cool - yellow - kinda like the dream machine from scooby doo…. i guess since lv drives it that would make him shaggy. all he needs now is a big brown dog and the parody would be complete. and by the way, it was a privilege to provide a jump start to help get the message on it’s way back to atlanta - don’t leave the lights on dude
thank you for what you do and God bless all at catalyst…

correction - the scooby doo van was the mystery machine, not the dream machine… thank you wikipedia.
LV,
I sent you an email. I’d love to hook you guys up with some meals or lodging if you need it when you’re in Ohio. Let me know.

LV - Don’t forget to change the gray water in the Vanatoilet. I meant to tell you before you left that it could only hold 1.5 days of gray.
